Blue-green Chromis

Blue-green Chromis

Snapshot: These fish dazzle with a turquoise-blue body, fading to vibrant green at its tail. Sunlight dances on its shimmering scales.

Other tidbits: Can grow up to 8cm or so. Range is from the Pacific Ocean, east of the Philippines, Papua New Guinea and eastern Australia. They're energetic swimmers and playful, darting in and out of crevices. Constantly on the move, exploring their surroundings.

Bare bones must know: Any aquarium will do. Best in groups of three or more. Speedy eaters, so be mindful not to leave others hungry when stocking chromis.

  • Aquarium set-up: When night falls or trouble brews, they vanish into the rockwork. Make sure your setup's got plenty of hideouts for their disappearing act. Maintain an aquatic utopia by nailing the basics: rock-solid water quality with top-notch filtration and routine partial water changes.

Feeding: Offer a diverse menu such as brine shrimp, bloodworms, and algae-based pellets.

AQT note: All our fish feast on a diet of seaweed, marine pellets, flakes and frozen treats under our care. Keep the feast going in your tank!
