China Wrasse
Snapshot: What truly sets this fish apart is its striking contrast of pristine white adorned with vibrant blue dots, topped off with a regal bluish-black front half.
Other tidbits: Can grow up to 22cm or so. Native to the waters of the Red Sea and the Indian Ocean.
Bare bones must know: Live-rock fish-only system, fish-only system, or reef aquarium. Mature and well established aquarium. Thick, sandy substrate. Expert aquarists only.
Aquarium conditions: This beauty demands a well established tank that is spacious and decked out with ample live rock for hideouts and hunting. Wrasses love their comfort — give them a cozy fine sandbed to burrow into when they need a snooze or sense trouble. Feeding: Keep your Wrasse in top form with a gourmet diet of vitamin-enriched frozen mysis and brine shrimp, alongside high-quality marine flakes and pellets.
