Hooded Fairy Wrasse
Snapshot: The Hooded Fairy Wrasse has a vibrant array of colors: rose, pink, orange, and yellow. These colours are ccented by bold purple-black edges on its dorsal and tail fins.
Other tidbits: Can grow up to 9cm or so. Native to tropical waters of the Western Pacific Ocean. It is the crown jewel of deep-water wrasses, setting hearts aflutter among enthusiasts far and wide.
Bare bones must know: Best suited to reef aquariums.
Aquarium set-up: Introduce a single male to a group of females for a harmonious coexistence. Wrasses love their comfort — give them a cozy sandbed to burrow into when they need a snooze or sense trouble. And don't forget the tight-fitting canopy — these wrasses are known for their acrobatic leaps! Maintain an aquatic utopia by nailing the basics: rock-solid water quality with top-notch filtration and routine partial water changes.
Feeding: Keep your Wrasse in top form with a gourmet diet of vitamin-enriched frozen mysis and brine shrimp, alongside high-quality marine flakes and pellets.
AQT note: All our fish feast on a diet of seaweed, marine pellets, flakes and frozen treats under our care. Keep the feast going in your tank!
