One Spot Foxface
Snapshot: This majesty has a striking thick-striped head adorned in black and white hues. Its predominantly yellow body is interrupted only by a dramatic black spot near its dorsal fin.
Other tidbits: Can grow up to 20cm or so. Restricted to the north-western Pacific, specifically between Japan and the Philippines.
Bare bones must know: Live-rock fish-only system, fish-only system, or reef aquarium with care. Wear gloves when handling, their venomous spines can inflict painful injuries.
Aquarium set-up: Have a tank on the larger side and provide plenty of hiding spots using live rock. Maintain an aquatic utopia by nailing the basics: rock-solid water quality with top-notch filtration and routine partial water changes.
Feeding: Rabbitfish will devour algae strips with gusto, crunch on seaweed pellets for a taste of the sea, enjoy high-quality marine flakes and savour live foods like krill for a protein boost. It also indulges in fresh vegetables!
AQT note: All our fish feast on a diet of seaweed, marine pellets, flakes and frozen treats under our care. Keep the feast going in your tank!
