Red Ruby Dragonet

Red Ruby Dragonet

Snapshot: These beauties stand out in any aquarium, with their mottled white spots and striking yellow fins against a backdrop of ruby red.

Other tidbits: Can grow up to 7cm or so. Widely distributed throughout the tropical waters of the Indo-Pacific Ocean.

Bare bones must know: Live-rock fish only system, or reef aquarium with plenty of live rock and sand.

  • Aquarium set-up:  It thrives in a spacious aquarium brimming with live rock for hiding and grazing. Use live sand for the substrate. Maintain an aquatic utopia by nailing the basics: rock-solid water quality with top-notch filtration and routine partial water changes.

Feeding: They thrive on a diet of brine shrimp, bloodworms, glassworms, and small invertebrates. They require a peaceful environment without competition for food.

AQT note: All our fish feast on a diet of seaweed, marine pellets, flakes and frozen treats under our care. Keep the feast going in your tank!
