Stripey

Stripey

Snapshot: A vibrant ray-finned fish with bright yellow hues and bold black stripes. Its fifth body stripe angles elegantly towards the anal fin, while the lower abdomen stripe is more like charming spots and dashes.

Other tidbits: Can grow up to 16cm or so. Native to the tropical waters of the Indo-Pacific region, including Hawaii, Japan, China, New Caledonia and Australia. These fish are swift, sociable, and bursting with personality! If you're looking for an aiptasia assassin for your aquarium, the Stripey is your ultimate weapon.

Bare bones must know: Live-rock fish only system, or fish-only system. Mature or well established aquarium only with large amounts of algae growth.

  • Aquarium set-up: Give your fish room to glide and thrive! Keep their domain spacious with plenty of open swimming space. Maintain an aquatic utopia by nailing the basics: rock-solid water quality with top-notch filtration and routine partial water changes.

Feeding: An omnivorous powerhouse, it devours frozen and freeze-dried diets packed with algae. Amp up its menu with dried algae, frozen mysis shrimp, and a dash of frozen brine shrimp for a feast fit for royalty.

AQT note: All our fish feast on a diet of seaweed, marine pellets, flakes and frozen treats under our care. Keep the feast going in your tank!
