Twinspot Goby
Snapshot: Also known as the Two Spot Goby. Its head and body are a canvas of white splashed with vibrant orange markings. Two distinct eyespots adorn its dorsal fins.
Other tidbits: Can grow up to 7cm or so. Native to the tropical waters of the Western Pacific Ocean.
Bare bones must know: Live-rock fish only system, or reef aquarium with plenty of live rock and sand. Thick sandy substrate.
Aquarium set-up: Include live rock for hiding spots and for bacteria growth. Secure the rocks to prevent rock slides. And don't forget the lid — these acrobats are known to make daring leaps from open aquariums!Maintain an aquatic utopia by nailing the basics: rock-solid water quality with top-notch filtration and routine partial water changes.
Feeding: Keep your royal goby highness happy with a diverse diet of mysis shrimp, brine shrimp, flake food, marine-based algae and shrimp pellets.
