Yellow Tang
Snapshot: Meet the sunshine fish — a dazzling daffodil yellow, radiating luminosity. Its stark white scalpel markings demands attention. This one unfortunately doesn't have its full set of dorsal fins. However, that hasn't hindered its ability to swim.
Other tidbits: Can grow up to 20cm or so. Range extends from the Great Barrier Reef, off Australia's Eastern Coast, across much of the Pacific. Yellow by day but watch as night falls, when they transform into a muted, almost grey hue.
Bare bones must know: Live-rock fish-only system, or reef aquarium.
Aquarium set-up: With their outgoing and curious personalities, these fish are born to explore! Create an environment that fuels their adventurous spirit and watch them thrive. Maintain an aquatic utopia by nailing the basics: rock-solid water quality with top-notch filtration and routine partial water changes.
Feeding: For tangs, algae is king! Load up on algae-based essentials like toasted nori sheets, algae flakes, and pellets. And for a gourmet twist, treat them to frozen brine shrimp enriched with spirulina. It's an algae feast fit for royalty!
AQT note: All our fish feast on a diet of seaweed, marine pellets, flakes and frozen treats under our care. Keep the feast going in your tank!
